Thalapathy Vijay’s son, Jason Sanjay, is set to make his directorial debut with the upcoming film Sigma. The movie stars Sundeep Kishan in the lead role, and the makers have officially confirmed its release date as July 31, 2026.

Sigma marks the directorial debut of Thalapathy Vijay’s son, Jason Sanjay. The film is touted to be an action-adventure comedy that revolves around a “lone wolf” protagonist who challenges societal expectations and embarks on a hunt for hidden treasures, while incorporating themes of high-stakes heists.

Written by Jason Sanjay, the movie is bankrolled by Lyca Productions, with music composed by Thaman S. Apart from Sundeep Kishan, the film also features Faria Abdullah, Raju Sundaram, Anbu Thasan, Yog Japee, Sampath Raj, Kiran Konda, Magalakshmi Sudharsanan, and several others in pivotal roles. Moreover, a few actors are rumored to make cameo appearances, with Jason himself also expected to feature in a dance number.

Thalapathy Vijay’s next film

Thalapathy Vijay is yet to hit the big screens with his final film, Jana Nayagan. As the superstar prepares to retire from active cinema, his swansong follows the story of Thalapathy Vetri Kondan, a former officer who adopts a young girl named Viji and is determined to raise her as a strong and independent woman. He even encourages her to join the military despite her fear of violence.

Amid these developments, a grave threat looms over India, one that could potentially lead to widespread destruction. As Vetri Kondan becomes entangled in the crisis, a personal vendetta emerges, forcing him to take matters into his own hands and expose the system responsible for triggering the chaos.

Apart from Thalapathy Vijay, the film also stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain, Priyamani, and Sunil in key roles. The film’s music and background score have been composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
