Several celebrities came out to vote during the second phase of Lok Sabha Elections in Tamil Nadu. While Thala Ajith and Shalini hit the headlines over not standing in the queue during the elections in TN, actor Sivakarthikeyan has cast his vote in South Chennai Lok Sabha Elections despite his name not being listed on the electoral roll. According to reports, the actor was not allowed to vote initially as his name was not on the list. Reports suggest that Sivakarthikeyan returned after an hour to the booth and he was allowed to cast the vote. 

Well, this has stirred a controversy Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Sathyabrata Sahoo has ordered action against the polling officials in Chennai. "Sivakarthikeyan's name was not on the voter's list. He has voted despite that. This is a mistake on the part of the polling booth officials presents there. I have ordered for action against them," Sathyabrata Sahoo told reporters at the Secretariat on Tuesday. After casting vote, the actor took to Twitter and showed off his inked finger with the caption, “Voting is your right and fight for your right.”

According to a report in The News Minute, even actor Srikanth was allowed to vote despite not having his name in the list. “The polling officer allowed it since I was issued an election ID,” Srikanth told TNM. Interestingly, the actor realized later that his voting was supposed to be in Valluvar Kottam.
