Sivakarthikeyan is currently filming his next movie, Seyon, directed by Thaai Kizhavi fame Sivakumar Murugesan. Now, it appears that the actor may be lining up films with directors Cibi Chakaravarthi and Ramkumar Balakrishnan after wrapping up his current commitments.

According to Movies Singapore, Sivakarthikeyan has completed the first schedule of Seyon in Madurai. The rough edit of the film reportedly includes a song that is being personally overseen by Sivakarthikeyan.
Following this, the team is expected to proceed with the second schedule in July, which will run for a month before the film is completed.
Looking ahead, it is being reported that SK will subsequently collaborate with directors Ramkumar Balakrishnan and Cibi Chakaravarthi. While an official update is yet to be made, the project is likely to be bankrolled by Sathya Jyothi Films. However, this remains speculation for now, and no official confirmation has been issued.
Seyon went on floors on May 18, 2026. According to a report by Lets Cinema, the film is targeting a theatrical release during Pongal 2027. Earlier, the makers unveiled a glimpse from the movie, showcasing Sivakarthikeyan in a rustic avatar, with the story set in a village near Madurai. The look and presentation sparked comparisons to Virumaandi, one of Kamal Haasan’s iconic films.
With Sivakarthikeyan headlining the project, the makers have officially roped in Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead, marking her second Tamil film after Dulquer Salmaan’s Kaantha.
Sivakarthikeyan’s work front
Sivakarthikeyan was last seen in the lead role in Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara. Featuring Ravi Mohan as the primary antagonist, the action drama also starred Sreeleela and Atharvaa Murali in key roles. The film is now available for streaming on ZEE5.
Looking ahead, SK is expected to collaborate with Ramkumar Balakrishnan, best known for Parking, on a new project that is rumored to feature Dileep in a key role.
Additionally, the Amaran star was previously set to collaborate with director Venkat Prabhu on a sci-fi project. However, there have been no recent updates regarding the film, with rumors suggesting that the project may now be headlined by Dhanush after he completes his current commitments. However, the makers have yet to make an official announcement.
