The Tamil Nadu Government bestows the Kalaimamani Awards for those involved in the industry of arts and entertainment in the state. This year, veteran actresses including Saroja Devi, Sowcar Janaki and Jamuna Rai will be receiving the award along with the sensational actors of the recent days including Sivakarthikeyan, Aishwarya Rajesh and Yogi Babu. Producers Kalaipuli S Thanu, Ishari K Ganesh will also be receiving the award this year.

Karagaatakkan fame actor Ramarajan, Ravi Maria, Pithamagan actresses Sangeetha Krish, versatile actress Devadarshini, Bigg Boss Tamil fame Madhumitha, television actress Shanti Williams, music composers D Imman and Dheena, cinematographer Ragunatha Reddy, editor Antony and director Gautham Vasudev Menon will also be receiving the award this year.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Sivakarthikeyan is currently busy with the shooting of his upcoming film titled Don directed by debutant Cibi Chakravarthi. He is waiting for the release of his two movies namely Ayalaan and Doctor. Aishwarya Rajesh, on the other hand, will be next seen in Tuck Jagadish along with Nani and Ritu Varma in the lead roles. Yogi Babu is rumoured to be playing a key role in the Tamil remake of Bollywood film Andhadhun. He also has in his kitty, a film titled Bommai Naayagi produced by Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Productions. Gautham Vasudev Menon recently announced that he will be collaborating with Silambarasan TR for his upcoming directorial venture.
