The weekend is here and so we are with our list of unmissable stories from the South entertainment industry. This week has been a busy one, especially for the Telugu industry as Ram Charan joined the sets of Acharya and the trailer of Aaranya was released. The week also saw an unexpected incident where Fahadh Faasil injured himself while on the sets of his upcoming film. Take a look at all the important events happened this week right.

1. Trailer of Aaranya released: Rana Daggubati's Haathi Mere Saathi, which has been shot simultaneously in Telugu as Aranya and in Tamil as Kaadan is one of the much-awaited films that audience is eagerly looking forward to. The film is all set to release on March 26, 2021, and ahead of the grand release, the makers unveiled the film's trailer in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. It has Rana Daggubati and Vishnu Vishal in the lead roles.

2. Selvaraghavan’s Nenjam Marappathillai got released after a long wait: After a lot of expectations and postponement, Selvaraghavan’s Nenjam Marappathillai finally hit the big screens on Friday. Helmed by critically acclaimed director Selvaraghavan, the film has SJ Suryah as the lead actor, while Regina Cassandra is the female lead. After the release, the film received a tremendous positive review from fans and critics alike.

3. Fahadh Faasil sustained injuries on the sets of Malayankunju: South star Fahadh Faasil suffered injuries during the shooting of an action sequence for his upcoming Mollywood film Malayankunju. According to media reports, he was performing a stunt sequences, which required him to jump from a certain height. He lost balance while jumping and sustained multiple injuries on his face. As soon as he fell down, he was rushed to a nearby private hospital and was discharged after treatment.

4. Ram Charan finished shooting his portions for Acharya: Ram Charan shared photo from the sets of Acharya while revealing that he has joined the sets of the film. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film has Chiranjeevi and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles. Ram Charan will be playing an extended cameo role, while Pooja Hegde is reported to be playing the love interest of Ram Charan. A couple of days back, he was spotted at the airport after he arrived in Hyderabad with wife Upasana.

5. Kamal Haasan took vaccination for COVID 19: Kamal Haasan took to his Twitter space and announced that he took his first dose of COVID 19 vaccine and encouraged people to get vaccinated. He added that it is an important thing to do as it affects not only oneself but also the whole society. Announcing the news, the actor turned politician also shared a photo of himself getting vaccinated.

6. Hollywood stunt choreographer Nick Powell joined the sets of RRR: Team RRR shared a video on their official Twitter handle while revealing that they have started the final shooting schedule of the film. Revealing the news, the makers shared a video of Hollywood stunt choreographer Nick Powell, where he was seen choreographing a stunt sequence for the film’s climax sequence. Going by the video, it looks like a huge visual treat is on the cards to the fans of SS Rajamouli, Ram Charan and Jr NTR.
