Super Subbu is slated to premiere on the OTT platform Netflix and will be available to stream from July 2, 2026. Sharing the official update, the team wrote, “What would happen if a man who knows nothing about chemistry tried to teach chemistry to an entire village?”
The show is originally made in Telugu and will also be available in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Official update and plot of Super Subbu
Super Subbu revolves around Subramanyam Chillukuri Rao, also known as Subbu, an earnest young man whose life takes an unexpected turn when he lands a job as a public awareness officer in the fictional village of Maakipur.
Subbu arrives in the village with no real experience, a lesson plan in hand, and a sincere desire to educate people. But in Maakipur, even an innocent question can spread faster than the school bell. What begins as a short-term posting soon turns into a whirlwind of curiosity, awkward moments, chaos, and conversations that refuse to stay confined within classroom walls.
The series follows Subbu as he tries to adjust to his new reality while dealing with villagers who are curious, confused, and often hilariously unpredictable. Beneath the comedy, however, lies a larger question: is he willing to risk his love, family, and career while trying to do what he believes is right?

The original web series is created and directed by Mallik Ram. Written by Mallik Ram, Ramesh Eligeti, and Shivani Dhobal, the show is produced by Rajiv Chilaka and Bharath Laxmipati under the banner of Chilaka Productions.

Sundeep Kishan will next be seen in the lead role in Sigma. Directed by Thalapathy Vijay’s son, Jason Sanjay, the film is touted to be a high-octane action-adventure entertainer. It is slated for release on July 31, 2026.
