Suriya gets diagnosed with COVID 19; Actor confirms he is undergoing treatment

Suriya's close aid and filmmaker Rajsekar Pandian has stated that the actor is doing fine. He has also asked the South star's fans not to worry about his health.

The fear of COVID-19 is still not over as it continues to affect a large mass of people every day around the world. In the past one year, numerous celebs from the entertainment industry have also been diagnosed with the deadly virus. As unfortunate as it sounds, Suriya who has been earning praise for his stint in Soorarai Pottru, has tested positive for novel coronavirus. The South star has confirmed this piece of news on his personal Twitter handle.

Here’s what he wrote, “I am suffering from 'corona' infection and am receiving treatment. We will all realize that life has not yet returned to normal. Can't be paralyzed with fear. At the same time, safety and attention are essential. Love and thanks to the dedicated supportive physicians.” Filmmaker Rajsekar Pandian who shares a strong bond with Suriya has shared the latter’s tweet on his own handle. Throwing light on the same, he writes, “Dear Brothers and Sisters Anna’s fine and nothing to worry.”

As soon as these tweets were shared, worried fans flocked the comments section and prayed for the speedy recovery of the South actor. On the work front, Suriya recently wrapped up the shoot of Mani Ratnam’s Navarasa which is slated to be released on Netflix. It has been directed by Gautham Menon. Apart from that, he is producing another project which has been directed by Gnanavel. The actor is also gearing up for Suriya 40 helmed by Pandiraj.
