Suriya had been a pillar of strength for all of us, Says NGK director Selvaraghavan

Suriya has won the hearts of the audience once again with his powerful role in the latest film, NGK. The film which released on May 31, opened to a mixed response from the audience and critics alike. The political thriller, written and directed by Selvaraghavan also stars Rakul Preet Singh and Sai Pallavi in the female lead. Despite mixed reviews, NGK is earning pretty well at the box office. The film has grossed around Rs 50 crore at the worldwide box office and has earned around Rs 32-34 crore in Tamil Nadu alone. Meanwhile, director Selvaraghavan is all praise for Suriya. 

He recently took to Twitter and shared about how Suriya had always been like strength to the team. Calling Suriya a 'director's delight', Selvaraghavan tweeted, "Forever grateful to @Suriya_offl sir who brought life and played all the layers of #NGK to perfection. He literally lived as #NGK for almost a year. He had been such a pillar of strength for all of us. Thank you so much, sir! As I alwways said you are 'directors delight' (sic)"

On the other hand, recently, talking about director Selvaraghavan's working style, Suriya had said, "Every director’s craft is different. It’s all about going and surrendering yourself, and wanting to do better." 

 The political drama, NGK (Nanda Gopal Krishna) sees Suriya playing the role of a young man who is dragged into politics. The film sees Suriya and Sai Pallavi sharing the screenspace for the first time.
