After teasing the audience for days, director Geetu Mohandas has finally unveiled the characters from her upcoming film, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. The 1-minute 41-second teaser kicks off with a playful disclaimer warning kids to stay away.

It then plunges into a neon-and-pink-hued world. A gripping voiceover announces, “Love makes monsters of women. It is a beautiful illusion if one understands the depth of its deception.”

The teaser introduces its heavyweight female ensemble in fiercely distinct avatars, from bike-riding action sequences to boss-lady bar setups and guns pointed at the screen. It wraps up with a high-octane combat sequence featuring Yash taking on a group of female fighters. With a smirk, he delivers the punchline: “Ladies and ladies. Do you want to come one at a time or all together?”

Toxic boasts one of the most stellar pan-Indian ensemble casts, led by Yash playing a massive dual role. The powerful female characters introduced in the world of Toxic include Nayanthara as Ganga, Kiara Advani marking her Kannada debut as Nadia, Huma Qureshi as Elizabeth, Tara Sutaria as Rebecca, and Rukmini Vasanth as Melissa.

The film also features supporting performances from Akshay Oberoi, Sudev Nair, and Amit Tiwari. Touted as a period action-gangster drama, the new teaser of Toxic seems to have divided the audience.

After experiencing a series of postponements, Toxic has officially locked its worldwide release date. The film will not hit cinemas on August 26, 2026. Originally shot in Kannada and English, the film will also be reportedly dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
