Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman has penned and will be producing a film titled 99 Songs under his banner YM Studios. Said to be musical romance, the film has been the talk of the town since its inception. AR Rahman has turned a writer and producer with this film and there is a lot of curiosity among the fans to know what's in the store. Fans have been questioning AR Rahman about the film's update. AR Rahman took to his Instagram account and decided to give his fans a sneak peek into the musical preparations for 99 Songs.

Rahman shared a video of Armaan Malik recording for 99 Songs and also revealed about the VFX is going satisfyingly, and that the team is giving their time in making it the best. The makers will soon announce a new release date. Initially, the film was set to hit the screen on June 21. 99 Songs is a musical film being directed by well-known ad filmmaker Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy of The Dewarists (season 1) and Bring on the Night fame. 

Here's what Armaan Malik has to say about being associated with AR Rahman's film. He commented, "Someone please pinch me, seriously did not expect something like this and that too at this hour! The film has Ehan Bhat and Edilsy Vargas in the lead roles. Earlier, talking about the audition, AR Rahman wrote on Facebook, “For the past couple of years, we have taken the time necessary to hold around a 1,000 auditions so that we could find the right boy and girl. I think we have found those special people who have brought freshness and talent to the screen.”

AR Rahman is also busy with Vijay-Atlee's next tentatively titled Thalapahy 63. The actor recently shared about watching the first two videos from the film.
