Vijay Deverakonda and 24 director Vikram Kumar to team up for a film? Here’s what we know

Vijay Deverakonda is currently working on his upcoming films Ranabaali and Rowdy Janardhana. Now, it appears that the actor may be joining hands with director Vikram Kumar for another project.
Vijay Deverakonda and Vikram Kumar team up for a film?
According to Aakashavaani, Vijay Deverakonda and 24 fame Vikram Kumar are set to collaborate on a new film. The project is reportedly being bankrolled by Maddock Films and is expected to be a pan-Indian venture. However, this remains an unconfirmed report for now, as no official announcement has been made yet.
Director Vikram Kumar recently began work on the second season of his web series Dhootha. The official update about the series was shared by Naga Chaitanya, with Parvathy Thiruvothu and Priya Bhavani Shankar set to return.
Dhootha Season 2 is expected to continue the narrative introduced in the first season with greater intensity and suspense. Following the success of the debut instalment, the screenplay is said to explore the story in a more intricate and layered manner.
The series follows Sagar, a morally ambiguous yet successful journalist who begins receiving newspaper clippings that accurately predict tragic, fatal, and often supernatural events involving his loved ones.
As a series of events unfolds, he comes under suspicion and is forced to investigate the source of these ominous predictions while confronting the demons of his own dark past. Alongside Naga Chaitanya, Parvathy Thiruvothu, and Priya Bhavani Shankar, the first season also featured Srikanth Murali, Prachi Desai, Anish Kuruvilla, Tharun Bhascker, Rohini, Tanikella Bharani, and others in key roles.
Vijay Deverakonda’s work front
Vijay Deverakonda will next be seen in the lead role in Ranabaali. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film follows a fearless warrior fighting against British oppression. With Rashmika Mandanna playing the co-lead, the movie is slated for release on September 11, 2026.
Looking ahead, the actor is also set to star alongside Keerthy Suresh in the action drama Rowdy Janardhana, directed by Ravi Kiran Kola. Moreover, he has announced another project with Hi Nanna director Shouryuv.
