The two talented stars, Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna will be seen sharing the screen space yet again in their upcoming film, Dear Comrade. Fans immensely loved Vijay and Rashmika’s onscreen chemistry in Geetha Govindam and are eagerly waiting for what’s next in the store. However, during the teaser and trailer release, a section of the audience criticised Vijay’s kissing scenes with Rashmika. Many even addressed the Arjun Reddy star as Emraan Hashmi of Tollywood. During a recent event, Vijay reacted to the same.

At the grand music festival of Dear Comrade, Vijay was asked by a reporter about his lip-lock scenes in the film and how it received a mixed response from fans. To which he replied, "What is a liplock? I mean, I do not like that word. See, you guys write about objectification. It's actually kissing, it's an emotion like anger. When you cry, it's an emotion. When you kiss, it's an emotion. It's not lip-locking, I really dislike that word. Whenever I read liplock, I'm like what the f**k?"

He further added, “If it's there in the writing or if it's necessary for the moment or if the relationship between the characters is such to express it that way, then it needs to be expressed that way. If there's no need, then there won't be any need. So, it's very basic.”

Vijay in his long epic response also spoke about how people in our country forget that the celebrities are playing their characters on the big screens. "Actually, it's not Rashmika kissing Vijay or vice versa. It is Bobby kissing Lilly. We are the only country where people forget that actors are playing characters on screen. I don't go around taking stumps and beating people or do drugs. In real life, I don't even smoke. I don't dance and dancing is the last thing I would do even though I enjoy watching it. So, people should not get confused, said Arjun Reddy star.

Rashmika Mandanna also reacted to the same saying that people want to talk only about the kissing scenes and do not want to relate to any other emotion.
