Vikram on Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy criticism: Dhruv's Adithya Varma will actually be a little more innocent
Vikram's son Dhruv Vikram is all set to make his debut with the upcoming film, Adithya Varma, Tamil remake of the Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy. Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy and Hindi version Kabir Singh opened to massive response but the film equally received criticism over the scenes glorifying misogyny and violence against women. Well, in a couple of months, the Tamil remake, Adithya Varma is all set to hit screens and actor Vikram revealed that his son's film will be innocent and there are no attempts to amp up the shock value.
In a recent interview to Cinema Express, actor Vikram reacted to the backlash that Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy received. He said, "Adithya Varma will actually be a little more innocent than both Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy. Dhruv is more a college student than both Vijay Deverakonda and Shahid Kapoor. Even director Sandeep Vanga felt that Dhruv was most suited to play this role. Dhruv's character won't have the bravado or overt machismo seen in the other two films. Although it is a remake, there are no attempts to amp up the shock value. So, I feel the reaction won't be the same here."
