Vishwanath And Sons follows the story of Sanjay Vishwanath, a 40-year-old former international champion attempting a comeback despite his failing eyesight. The narrative centres on his complex relationship with Maddy, a vibrant woman 20 years younger than him, who falls in love with him, leading to emotional conflict.
Directed by Venky Atluri, the film features Mamitha Baiju as the co-lead, alongside Radikaa Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon in key roles. Earlier, the makers had confirmed that the romantic drama would release two months after Karuppu’s theatrical debut, making it an Indian Independence Week release.
Suriya’s work front
Suriya was recently seen in the lead role in Karuppu. Directed by RJ Balaji, the fantasy action entertainer followed the story of a father and daughter whose gold jewellery is stolen from them. In their desperate attempt to retrieve it through legal proceedings, the duo finds themselves trapped in a system riddled with manipulation.
Left with nowhere else to turn, the father prays to the guardian deity Karuppusamy, who manifests in human form and takes it upon himself to end the tyranny of those in power and deliver social justice. Whether he succeeds in fulfilling this mission forms the central narrative of the story.
Apart from Suriya, the film also stars Trisha Krishnan, RJ Balaji, Indrans, Anagha Maaya Ravi, Sshivada, Swasika, and several others in key roles.
Looking ahead, Suriya will next be seen in the tentatively titled Suriya47. Directed by Jithu Madhavan, the film is touted to be a cop action-comedy and also stars Nazriya Nazim Fahadh and Naslen in prominent roles.
