WATCH: Dhanush expresses his happiness on completing 17 years in Tamil film industry

Last month, on May 10th, Dhanush completed 17 long years in Tamil film industry. His first film Thulluvatho Ilamai released on May 10, 2002, and it changed his life forever. Last seen in Balaji Mohan’s Maari 2, Dhanush is happy and excited about his long and successful career. Recently, at the trailer launch of his upcoming Hollywood film, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir, Dhanush spoke about how his journey had been eventful. The Tamil star also thanked his fans for being a part of his journey. 

Dhanush at the trailer launch said, "I'm very blessed and grateful for their love (fans). It is their love that keeps me going...I'm very fortunate, it all started with Kolaveri Di, as you all know and now, there was another song, Rowdy Baby that went viral. It just happened to me, I feel lucky." Dhanush and Sai Pallavi's chartbuster track Rowdy Baby from Maari 2 recently hit 500 million views on YouTube.  Rowdy Baby is unstoppable and has set a new record yet again.

Talking about The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir, the film is based on the book of the same name penned down by Romain Puértolas. The film is all set to release on June 21, 2019, in French, English and Tamil.
