Yash extends help to a fan battling with cancer
According to a report by India Today, Yash video-called Sunil, the Shivamogga district president of his fan association, who is currently battling rectal cancer. During the conversation, the actor enquired about Sunil's health, offered words of encouragement, and also interacted with members of his family.
Reportedly, the actor recalled Sunil's long association with his fan clubs and his active involvement in fan activities over the years. Yash is also said to have assured him of support throughout his treatment.
Yash’s work front
Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups is a period action thriller co-written and directed by Geetu Mohandas. Apart from Yash, the film also stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth in co-lead roles. The cast also includes Akshay Oberoi, Sudev Nair, Amit Tiwari, and several others in pivotal roles.
The film's music and background score have been composed by Ravi Basrur. JJ Perry has choreographed some of the action sequences, while the Anbariv duo has handled select action portions.
Initially, the movie was slated for a theatrical release on March 19, 2026, but it was later postponed to June 4. However, in an effort to secure a better worldwide theatrical window, the makers once again delayed the release, with a new date yet to be announced. Reports indicate that the film may hit the big screens in August 2026; however, no official confirmation has been made.
In an earlier interview, the Rocking Star explained that the film features some “bad*ss” female characters.
Looking ahead, Yash will also be seen on the big screen during Diwali 2026 as he takes on the role of King Ravana in Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. Apart from the lead duo, the film will also feature Sai Pallavi, Ravi Dubey, Sunny Deol, and several others in key roles.
