It has been a good year for Korean dramas. From The World of the Married and The King: Eternal Monarch to Once Again and It's Okay To Not Be Okay, the Korean television aired something for everyone's liking. Currently, shows like Record of Youth and Do You Like Brahms? has everyone's attention. However, we feel that it is going to be difficult to keep up with the small screen for a bunch of new and exciting shows are coming our way in October 2020. 

This month, Lee Dong Wook, Suzy, Lee Jae Wook, Go Ara and many more stars take will over the small screen and present some entertaining stories via series like Tale of the Nine-Tailed, Start Up and more. Without further ado, here are a few K-dramas releasing in October 2020: 

Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol

Cast: Go Ara, Lee Jae Wook, Kim Joo Heon, Ye Ji Won, and Shin Eun Soo

Premiere Date: Oct 7

Plot: As reported by Soompi, the KBS 2TV romantic comedy revolves around a pianist, Goo La La (Go Ara) and a part-timer named Sun Woo Joon (Lee Jae Wook). The duo cross paths at a piano academy called “La La Land” bearing secrets and scars hidden within. Meanwhile, Kim Joo Heon (recently seen in It's Okay To Not Be Okay) plays an orthopedist with a Burnout Syndrome. On the other hand, Ye Ji Won and Shin Eun Soo star as a mother-daughter duo.

Private Lives

Cast: Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun, Go Kyung Pyo, Kim Hyo Jin, and Kim Young Min

Premiere Date: Oct 7

Plot: The JTBC drama revolves around con artists who steal and fabricate their private lives. The series will see these artists mobilise their expertise in disclosing the country's huge “private life.” Ko Gyung Pyo plays Lee Jung-Hwan, a team leader for a big corporation and holds a mysterious figure. Seohyun essays the role of Cha Joo Eun who supports herself with her crimes. Kim Hyo Jin plays Jung Bok Ki, a professional con artist who targets other swindlers. Kim Young Min plays Kim Jae Wook, Jung Bo Ki’s partner.

Tale of the Nine-Tailed

Cast: Lee Dong Wook, Jo Bo Ah, Kim Beom 

Premiere Date: Oct 7

Plot: The tvN drama explores the Korean legend revolving around gumiho, a nine-tailed fox. Lee Dong Wook and Kim Beon play gumihos on screen. The drama sees Yi Yeon (Lee Dong-Wook) serve as a public official between the living and the dead, tasked to clean up after those who passed away. We're getting such Goblin vibes!

Premiere Date: Oct 17 

Plot: The tvN drama revolves around a fictional Silicon Valley named Sandbox where a few individuals try their luck at setting and flourishing their start-ups. Suzy plays Seo Dal Mi, who envisions to be Korea’s Steve Jobs. Nam Joo Hyuk plays Nam Do San, a tech company founder. Kim Seon Ho essays the role of Han Ji Pyung, a team leader at SH Venture Capital whereas Kang Han Na plays CEO and second-generation chaebol Won In Jae.

Premiere Date: October 26

Plot: The MBC series has been described as a "time-crossing fantasy thriller”. The story revolves around Kim Seo Jin (Shin Sung Rok) who is left in despair after the kidnapping of his daughter. Han Ae Ri (Lee Se Young) resides in a time that travels a month slower than the present time, Kim Seo Jin's time. and hunts for her missing mother. Instead of travelling back into time and changing the turn of events, Kairo will explore two timelines through Kim Seo Jin and Han Ae Ri. It is said that the two timelines will connect for a minute, where an intense turn of events will occur. Doesn't it sound mind-twisting!
