The nine-part political series features Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Gauahar Khan, Kritika Kamra, Zeeshan Ayyub, Sarah Jane Dias, Sunil Grover, and others in the lead roles. It premiered on January 15 but soon drew flak on various grounds that include allegedly hurting Hindi sentiments. The makers earlier also issued an apology amid the controversy row related to Tandav.

There is a scene where Zeeshan is seen playing Lord Shiva in a play. There is a conversation between the Hindu God and Narad Muni in between the same that drew a lot of flak on social media. This conversation has now been removed and the scene changes immediately after his entry on the stage amid cheers from the crowd. Anonymous : The truth is it is not the religious sentiments that are hurt. It’s the portrayal of the dictator ship policies in India which is being portrayed in the series which has hurt bhakt sentiments. They have been so blinded that they don’t want to believe that we are hurtling towards doom by supporting dictatorship. Alas it will be too late when everyone wakes up and we are like North Korea.
