Back in May 2020, BTS’ Suga opened up about his rapping skills, solo album and more in an interview which was aired by Bangtan TV. The idol also spoke about his mixtape D-2. When asked why he wanted a set the set for his title track Daechwita to look like a historical drama, he said, “It goes well with the song.” He laughed as he added, “And I’ve liked historical dramas since I was a kid.” He then explained that since he has been using traditional Korean sounds in his music a lot, he wanted to cut back on that.

He even commented on the scar he’s sporting in the Daechwita MV, and said that he wanted to make the video as believable as possible. He also added that he paid personal attention to ensure that the set was the perfect mix of modern and traditional to shoot the MV. The idol spoke about his enchanting sword dance in the MV, and shared that practising for that was tough since he has never done a sword dance before. He joked saying: “I had no idea swords were that heavy.”

Concluding the interview, when asked which song was the hardest experience, to which he said that he was diligently working on all the songs from the album but was most worried about the title track Daechwita.
