shameful is the word most apt to describe what happened. i have read reports that a certain big bollywood star also supported it since they were close to Indira Gandhi..but i don't know the truth to this. "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men (and women) to do nothing"

No movie with Soha as main character can fair well at box office.

I don't want to watch it coz we lived it

Soha is one the most beautiful faces of Bollywood

A movie called "AMU" of Konkona Sen Sharma is also touches quite a bit on the 1984 riots, first time I realised what people went through, truly truly very unfortunate and sad times I am sure just like the Gujarat Riots. Its like all of a sudden people stop being human, and have no sympathy.
However, after whats going in Kashmir I am not sure if the timing of the movie is right? India doesn't need any further conflict.

I totally agree wth you. But don't you think its a good thing for people to witness/revisit what went down and how unnecessary and shameful these situations are and hopefully learn to never repeat again.

Its Soha, so obviously this is going to be a flop

1984 riots - horrible act against sikhs ! shame on us all

It's safe to say that it wasn't all just sikhs...there were a lot of Hindus in Punjab that were killed by sikhs as well & vice versa in Delhi....so yes shame on us all for committing such hateful acts...it was truly despicable
