The first trailer of Academy Award Winner John Ridley’s limited TV series Guerrilla starring Freida Pinto and Babou Ceesay is out and it is every bit intense.

Set on the 1970’s London full of racist incidences, the six-episode series is about two lovers and political activists who spearhead the cause of equality for blacks.

The trailer also reflects the transformation of Freida (Jas) and Babou (Marcus) from being activists to starting a radical underground cell whose ultimate aim is to end violence against black.

Leading the revolution we see Freida in an empowering and a fierce avatar fighting it out against all odds.

Guerrilla airs on Showtime from Sunday, April 16.

As an American woman what I really want is for Frieda to have her own show on network television.

This looks really good

Freida Pinto to me is the perfect antidote for PC. Freida is such a natural beauty and so graceful, feminine and dignified while PC has plastic looks and acts like such a wannabe.

OMG... i loved what i just saw..This is fresh, raw and b'ful....i was so sick of seeing over the top and trying too hard PC-DP stories..she seem to be a parallel lead and no where you hear her trying too hard to impress the whites..

Looks Intense N Powerful.. Cant wait to watch

gosh....Freida is so beautiful......Such a raw and natural beauty. So refreshing when everything has become plastic , fake and Kardishian. And yes, she has improved in her acting. Suddenly I see her becoming a huge star. Her time has come.

love it .. go Freida, you look beautiful too naturally

She has improved so much!

Now thi sis what is called a hollywoood role but no PR sadly

Wow such a powerful message! Power to the people! Am soo excited to this movie and also to Dev Patels upcoming movie about him searching his mum in the slums of India!

Its a series, not a movie. Read people, read or atleast watch to end.
