Ahead of the crucial World Cup 2019 final clash between England and New Zealand, Indian skipper Virat Kohli revealed that the Kiwis are capable of defeating the hosts if the conditions are in their favour.

‘It depends on the day. If conditions are good for batting, then they(New Zealand) will have to bat really well, " Virat was quoted as saying by Metro.uk.

‘If conditions are bowler-friendly and they put enough runs on the board, they become a dangerous side as you saw in this game(semi-final). ‘It is anyone’s game, a knockout match. Whoever plays well on the day will win. I won’t pick a favourite. The team who plays the best cricket will win, " he added.

Kohli's Team India had gone down to New Zealand in the first semis of the World Cup at Manchester on Thursday. Set a target of 240, the Men in Blue were rocked by the swing bowling of Trent Boult and Matt Henry to reduce to 5 for 3. Despite Ravindra Jadeja's 77 and MS Dhoni's 50, the Indians failed to cross the line and were knocked out of the tournament.

England and New Zealand both will be aiming for their first World Cup title at Lord's on Sunday. The hosts are in the top two for the first time since 1992, while the Kiwis have made the semis in the last four editions, and will play their second successive final.
