Pakistan cricket team coach, Mickey Arthur on Tuesday said that he hopes that New Zealand will help them make it to the semifinals of the Cricket World Cup 2019 by defeating hosts England tomorrow.

"I just hope New Zealand get it done for us," He said. "If New Zealand don't (win) then we hope England win by a big-enough margin and then we calculate what we have to do with our net run-rate, which I think is probably too much."

The Australian native also opened up about India’s defeat against England. He said that he felt disappointed by India’s downcast show as their win would have helped Pakistan in making it to the semifinals of the tournament.

"How they (India) played, again that's the issue which we can't control," Arthur told reports in London. "Obviously, I was following the game intently and was disappointed that India did not get up because that would have opened the door for us," he added.

The Men in Green now must defeat Bangladesh in their next encounter and expect England to be defeated by New Zealand to easily qualify for semifinals. However, if England wins, their chances will rely on Net Run Rate (NRR). Pakistan has had an interesting outing in the World Cup so far. They started off on a downcast note, however, later on, made a strong comeback. They will be now keen to go through to the next round.
