Former Indian cricketer and Yuvraj Singh's father Yograj Singh asked Ambati Rayudu to come out of retirement and prove a point, and also stated that 'filthy' people like MS Dhoni will not be around forever.

Rayudu announced his retirement from cricket last week, after he was snubbed twice from a World Cup call-up, despite being listed as a stand-by. Team India were hampered with two injury issues during their edition - with Shikhar Dhawan and Vijay Shankar getting ruled out. While Rishbah Pant replaced the fomer, Mayank Agarwal was called up to replace Shankar.

Yugraj asked Rayudu to continue playing Duleep Trophy and Ranji Trophy, and prove himself again so it gets tough to ignore him.

"Rayudu should've continued playing, more and more. He should've played Ranji Trophy, Irani Trophy, Duleep Trophy, scoring 100s, 200s, 300s with not outs. He still has a lot of cricket left in him," Yograj was quoted as saying by NNIS Sports.

"Rayudu, my son you took the decision in haste. Come out of retirement and show them what you are capable of," the 61-year- old, who has played one Test and six ODIs for India, said.

He went on to criticize Dhoni as well, which is nothing new, as Yigraj has always been critical of the former skipper.

However, he seems to have gone a tad too overboard this time, calling Dhoni "filth", and suggesting to Rayudu that the latter could take up Dhoni's place once he retires.

"People like MS Dhoni will not remain forever, filth like these will not remain forever," he added.
