The purpose of Chehre is to provide social commentary on the criminal justice system in India. The initial concept is intriguing, but that is all it develops into. The movie ends up being a ridiculous courtroom drama that lasts far longer than the longest trial.

Chehre aims to make a social commentary on the state of criminal justice in India. The idea at the outset is interesting, but it stops at just that. The film turns out to be a preposterous courtroom drama that feels longer than any longestrunning lawsuit.
Chehre begins on a great note. Amitabh Bachchans entry is clap worthy. The exchange of dialogues here is very smooth and convincing. The way Lateef manages to conclude that Sameer is a culprit through the power of his observation and experience of asking the correct questions keeps the interest goin
