Dry hair is the root of all problems - frizz, breakage, dullness and split ends. It is important to treat it at the root level as it not only spoils the heath of the hair but also ends up making you look bad. Whether your hair is long or short, curly or straight, every woman dreams of having a luscious and healthy mane and so do they deserve it! Unfortunately, some of us are born with dull hair and it is important to fight that in order to sustain the health of your hair.

So when dealing with dry hair, the one place to start with is the kitchen. So here are some home remedies to help you get rid off all the dryness:

This treatment is the simplest and the most effective one. All you need is 2-3 tablespoons of your favourite oils. Add the almond oil, coconut oil, olive oil and jojoba oil in a bowl. Eat it until it’s lukewarm Massage hair with this oil mixture and wrap it up in a towel. Unwrap after 30 minutes and wash with a mild shampoo. The best part about this treatment is that you can make custom blends of oil that suit your hair type.

If you are dealing with dandruff and dryness, this hair mask is just for you. Start by soaking 4-5 tablespoons of fenugreek in water and leave it overnight. In the morning, blend the seeds into a fine paste. Apply this onto your scalp and hair and leave it in for 30 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm/cool water and shampoo. Fenugreek. It is a source of Nicotinic Acid, which encourages hair growth and Lecithin, which energizes hair follicles that treats dryness.

Start by separating 3 egg yolks from the whites. Whisk them until they become light and fluffy. Now, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 3-4 drops of vitamin E oil. Start applying the egg mixture to your hair from the roots to the tips. Leave the mixture in for 10 minutes and then wash it off with cool water. Egg yolks and olive oil help in sealing the hair shafts while vitamin E helps in nourishing them. You can also add lemon juice to this mixture for dealing with issues such as dandruff or an aggravated scalp.

For this, all you need is a ½ cup of flat beer and dilute it with two cups of water. Mix the beer with two cups of water and set it aside in a jug. Shampoo and condition your hair. Use the diluted beer as a final rinse to pour through your hair. Do not wash again and allow your hair to dry naturally. Here, beer helps in conditioning your hair like nothing else. It provides a good sheen to your hair while giving it the much-needed volume.

Honey is a great moisturising agent for both your hair and skin. All you need to do is to add 1 tablespoon of honey in 2 tablespoons of any oil of your choice. Apply it to your scalp and hair while concentrating the most on your dry tips. Leave it for 20 minutes and rinse it with shampoo. Honey and oil blend binds moisture to your hair shaft, keeping it conditioned.
