Now that winter is almost here, multiple issues like dry and itchy scalp, dandruff and more such issues are bound to rise. Reactions to the weather like eczema, itching, etc, that don't usually occur during warmer months are bound to occur due to the change in temperature and weather and usually only happens in the winter months due to the lack of moisture in the air.

Though there are no serious consequences to these issues, it tends to look very bad and causes mild inflammation. Follow these steps to treat these remedies.

Don't overdo on the heated styling products. All they do is dry out your hair faster, cause split ends and only further deteriorate the condition of your hair.

Massage your scalp often.Hot oil treatments, hair packs, home remedies from the kitchen which involve mashing fresh fruits, etc. only improve the quality of your dry and brazen hair by also help in moisturising the scalp and protecting it from getting too dry.

Exfoliate your scalp on a regular basis. Exfoliation will help get rid of the flakes and ensure it is smooth and lump-free. You can use scrubs to exfoliate the scalp by mixing ingredients like sugar and salt with essential oils, for best results.

Keep yourself hydrated. Constantly drink water, fresh fruit juices and snack on healthy foods such as nuts, fruits, etc. to ensure you are in your best health and get all the nutrition you need during winters.

Try to take as little stress as possible during this time. If you are stressed because of work, try to practice meditation techniques and tactics that will help you calm down. Try to exercise and get enough rest. Go for a walk and try to calm down.

Switch your shampoo. Most drugstore shampoos available in the market are extremely harsh and tend to cause more destruction to your hair. Instead, opt for a medicated shampoo that will ease the itchiness in your scalp and do wonders for it.
