The monsoons are here!! The ring of the clouds cracking, the thunder striking and the scent of the wet moist earth; is a feeling which is both inexpressible and something which takes you to the 9th cloud. The heavy pourdown brings in a lot of joy but along with all the fun it also brings in loads of hair woes. Yes, rains have to be our long tresses’ biggest enemy. It makes them look super frizzy and leaves it all dry.

This season offers hair conditions which in honest terms are extremely “weird”. Our hair goes through the texture of being extremely oily but also very frizzy. The drizzle also brings with it the “lice infestation” which can be contagious. Dandruff is another huge headache which comes to life during this season. While the problems are way too many, we’ve also got equal solutions to it which’ll help you get rid of those hair troubles. Listed below are remedies which’ll be a saving grace for your hair this rainy season.

Honey and yoghurt

Honey and yoghurt both are the star ingredients in your kitchen when it comes to skin and hair care. Mix yoghurt with a few drops of honey, apply them evenly on the roots and on the length of your hair. Leave it on for about half an hour and rinse it with cold water. Do it once a week to get shiny and luscious hair.

Hair champi

Don’t underestimate the power of a good head massage. Your roots and scalps needs the oils which gets washed away in the pourdown. Use the oil of your choice and add a few drops of castor oil to it. Mildly warm it and pamper yourself with a good champi. Leave it on overnight and wash it with a mild shampoo and conditioner.

Bananas and egg hair mask

Make a hair mask of 2 ripe bananas and 1 egg. Mix them well and apply it evenly all over your hair. Leave it on for an hour and wash it away with a good shampoo and conditioner. Carry this on every week to get the best results.

Aloe Vera and Vitamin E capsules

Aloe vera is one of the best gifts to mankind from Mother Nature. Take some aloe vera gel and massage it all over your hair, from your roots to the length of your hair. Post this, take some coconut oil and use oil from 3-4 Vitamin E capsules. Apply it all over your hair and leave it on for at least an hour overnight. Wash it off with mild shampoo and conditioner and apply a good hair serum.

Almond hair mask

Almonds are great for our body in general. To get rid of dry hair, make an almond paste and mix it with ripe bananas. You can also add a few drops of Vitamin E oil from the capsules. Apply it on for an hour and wash it off. Try this at least once a week to get the best results.

This is that one season wherein your hair needs you the most. If you leave it in a poor state be rest assured that your entire year is going to be one massive “bad-hair-day” and that is clearly something which none of us are up for.
