The rains are officially here! Especially in Mumbai and the southern states of the country. The monsoons however, haven’t really taken over completely - which gives us some room for prep. We’ve already told you guys how to keep your hair intact and have also helped you with face masks that you can turn to.

While we can prep all we want let’s be honest that it’s our feet which suffers the most. We obviously cannot afford to stay indoors and moving around on the road is pretty much a part of it. While regular visits to the salon can get heavy on our pockets; listed below are easy home remedies to make sure your feet are feeling pampered and looking their very best even in this messy season.

Cut and clean your nails regularly

It’s very important to chop off the dead and brittle nails. Not just this, applying darker nail paint for a longer period of time can turn your nails yellow. Also exfoliating your nails is a very important step for keeping healthy nails. If you want a quick fix for your nails with a major impact then take some lime juice and an old toothbrush and clean it from all the corners.

Soak your feet in warm water with epsom salt

Easiest remedy of all times. If at all, you feel like your feet are feeling too worn out or tired then this one is the easiest solution. Soak your feet in a water tub - preferably warm, add epsom salt or some coconut oil and dip your feet in the water for about 20-30 minutes and you’ll feel your entire body feeling extremely relaxed. Use a pumice stone or loifa to properly clean it and to get rid of the dead skin. Post this your feet too will look polished and clean.

Clean your nail beds

Its extremely important for you to make sure that your nails are clean and shiny. It's best to clean your nails once you’ve taken a bath or after soaking your feet in water. This way your nails will be a little soft and it’ll be easy to clean them properly. File your nails to make them look prim and proper.

Moisturise your nails

Every part of our body needs moisturising and our feet are no different. Moisturise your feet, feet fingers and not just that, use cuticle oil or coconut oil and apply them all over your nails. You’ll see immediate effect and also your nails will grow healthier and stronger.

Our feet are an extremely important part of our outside appearance. More than that, the above mentioned steps are a good step towards personal hygiene. With rains storming in and the puddles overflowing make sure you take good care of feet.
