Dandruff is portions of your scalp that chip off gradually upon drying. When it comes to controlling and combating dandruff, lemon can help us in multiple ways. The citric acid present in lemon helps fight dandruff from at the level of roots. Alternatively, the strong antimicrobial properties of lemon also control the fungal activity on your scalp.

Lemon with Amla:

Using lemon and amla together is perfect to say goodbye to those nasty flakes. The citrus nature of both lemon and amla helps reduce dead cell formation. They further provide nourishment to the roots and add shine to your locks. In a small bowl, mix two tbsps each of lemon juice and amla juice. Mix it well and using a cotton ball dab it on your scalp gently. Let it sit for 20-25 minutes and rinse it normal water.

Lemon and yogurt:

Lemon and yogurt not only help to bid goodbye to dandruff but also strengthen the hair. The natural enzymes and acids of the combination help to combat dandruff. Mix two tablespoons of yogurt, with one tablespoon of lemon juice. Apply the mixture onto the scalp and let it sit for 30 minutes. Rinse it off with mild shampoo.

Lemon and honey:

Lemon and honey is the perfect answer to all hair related issues. Honey's anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial compounds keep the fungal activity beneath the skin at nook. In a bowl take one tbsp of lemon juice, three tbsp of honey and mix them well. Apply it on to your scalp for 20 minutes. Rinse it off with mild shampoo.

Lemon and Tea:

Lemon and tea's antimicrobial, and antioxidants properties make for a great remedy to get rid of dandruff and rejuvenate inflamed skin. Take two tsp of tea powder and add it to half a cup of hot water. Strain the decoction and add a teaspoon of lemon to it. Let it cool down, then apply it on the scalp. Let it rest for 20 minutes.
