Our hair faces a lot every day. From the chemical-based products to all the pollution and dirt and impurities. All the hairstyling and everything takes a toll on our hair and we end up with sun-damaged hair with loads of product build-up. All that hair damage eventually starts showing up on our hair and we end up with hair breakage and hair loss. It all ends with our hair quality turning bad but there is a way to prevent this.

Just like our body, our hair too needs a detox to start fresh and get rid of all the impurities on your scalp and in your hair. When you fail to remove the impurities from your hair and scalp and unclog the pores on your scalp, it doesn't allow your hair to reap any benefits from the hair treatments that it's receiving. This is why we need a hair detox to restore our hair to its previous glory and make them grow healthy and shiny again.

Here are some home remedies to naturally detox your hair

1.  Mix half a cup of baking soda with 2 cups of warm water. Now wet your hair thoroughly and then pour this mixture on your hair. Pour it slowly while massaging your scalp with it and ensure that it covers your hair and scalp properly. Rinse your hair and try to use a conditioner right after that as it helps your hair stay moisturized and accelerates the detox.

2. Chop some cucumber and lemon and grind them together into a smooth paste. You can also just mix some freshly squeezed lemon juice with chopped cucumber and grind it. Now mix it well and massage it on your scalp and in your hair and then rinse your hair. If you're unable to get the cucumber crumbs out of your hair, shampoo them with a mild shampoo.

3. Mix some multani mitti powder with some apple cider vinegar. Add some lemon juice to this mix and make a smooth paste. Apply this all over your hair and scalp and let it air dry. Once it dries up, rinse it with cold water and use a mild shampoo.

4. Take some coconut milk and mix it with some fresh aloe vera gel. Mix it well and make a smooth paste and then refrigerate it overnight. You can add a few drops of olive oil if you have dry hair. Now rinse your hair with water and wet them thoroughly and then massage this mixture onto your scalp and hair. Allow it to stay for up to 15 minutes before rinsing with cold water and shampoo as usual.
