As you get older, your skin ages along with you. Lack of moisture and elasticity can make your skin wrinkly and worn out. Environmental conditions also hamper the skin and make it look weathered and wizened. Exposure to sun, pollution, malnutrition and unhealthy eating habits are a few more factors that contribute to early ageing symptoms.

If you’re suffering from wrinkles and don’t know what to do about it, here are some tips for you to take care of your skin. Wearing sunscreen, preferably with a sun protection factor (SPF) that suits your skin type, is one of the best solutions. Not just when you’re going out in the sun, but make it a habit to moisturise with a sunscreen every day.

Coconut oil is a great ingredient to make your skin feel smooth and it is especially recommended for people who have dry skin. Another element that has been found to aid in reducing wrinkles is lemon balm leaf tea. Healthy eating habits such as cutting down on smoking, having sufficient sleep, consuming an antioxidant diet and limiting sugar intake are a few other tips to maintain the glow on your face.

Cosmetology, however, is not the only answer to skin problems. Introducing nutrient-rich foods such as bananas, carrots, pineapples, lemon juice, aloe vera, olive oil and egg whites in meals can be more effective. A good sleep cycle and drinking ample amount of water are a few more necessities to keep the skin radiant for a longer period of time.
