Coffee is packed with antioxidants that'll help in skin brightening and prevents premature ageing. If you are dealing with acne-prone skin, coffee is the ideal solution as it has antibacterial and soothing properties that’ll reduce acne bacteria in the skin while calming any existing pimples. It is also great at combating under-eye puffiness, due to its high caffeine content. Also, the caffeine content in coffee improves blood flow and circulation, helping to stimulate hair growth. Incorporating coffee into your hair-care routine can also thicken your hair, as it’s full of antioxidants and minerals that’ll strengthen the hair shaft, preventing hair loss and breakage.

So, here’s how you can easily slip in the holy grail ingredient to your beauty regime.

Coffee Face Mask: This mask is an absolute all-rounder! This super easy DIY face mask can help keep the acne at bay, help the skin soothe the redness, hydrate the skin and protect it.

What you need:

1 Cup of fresh organic coffee grounds

1/2 Cup of Organic Coconut Oil

1 Tbsp Honey

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix them well. Apply to super cleansed skin using small circular motions to gently exfoliate and boost circulation. Leave it on for about 10 minutes, and wash it off with warm water, pat dry and tone. Follow up with a good hydrating moisturiser. Preserve the stub in an airtight jar and store in a cool, dark place. Use it one-two times a week for an amazing result.

Coffee Body Scrub: A good exfoliation is very essential to take off all the dead and flaky skin off your body. With exfoliating ingredients such as coconut oil and brown sugar, it removes dead skin without stripping the skin of its natural oils. Rose oil nourishes and softens the skin. Oh, it smells heavenly too!

What you need:

1 Cup of fresh organic coffee grounds

1 Cup of organic coconut oil

1 Cup brown sugar

4 Drops of rose oil

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl well. Apply it to the damp skin in the shower using circular movements, then wash it off with warm water. Once you’re out of the shower, make sure that you moisturise within five minutes that is when your skin is still damp, to lock in moisture for soft, hydrated skin.

Coffee Scalp Scrub: Yes, coffee scrub is great for healthy locks too! As we know, a good starts with a healthy scalp, so it is important to use a scalp scrub weekly once. Combining coffee and salt creates a gentle yet detoxifying scrub that’ll remove any dead skin or product buildup that’s making your hair look greasy. The tea-tree oil, with its antibacterial and antifungal properties, helps in removing hair follicles, nourishes the hair and most importantly leaves you with a clean scalp.

What you need:

1 Cup of fresh organic coffee grounds

1 Cup of organic coconut oil

1 Cup of sea salt

3 Drops of tea tree oil

Bring all the ingredients together in a bowl and mix well. Apply a tablespoon onto damp hair, gently massaging it into your scalp. Leave it in for about 10 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water, followed by shampoo and conditioner.
