India’s climatic condition is one which can get extremely unpredictable. Enter October and you have heat waves, splashes of rain and wisps of cold feeling all in one. This month is infamous for its scorching and extremely irritating heat. It can suck out the mind and patience of any person. It not just tests patience but it extremely bad for our skin as well.

Yes, as all the moisture is juiced out of our skin, courtesy the harsh sunlight. This leaves our skin extremely dry and lifeless. However, as always we’ve got your back. All you need is to tweak in and mix some of your ingredients from your kitchen and apply it on your face. The basic most important thing is to sip in a lot of water. Also, another essential tip is to use products which flatter your skin type and suit your skin. Rose water hands down has to be one of the best beauty products there ever is. It is extremely refreshing, hydrates the skin beautifully and brings that glow instantly. Also it comes in various sizes and is easy to carry so the portability quotient stems high.

Listed below are easy ways to use rose water and help in keeping your skin hydrated and healthy.

Rose water

Rose water is a blessing as it is. All you need is some rose water, cotton pads, facial cleanser and a moisturiser. Wash your face gently and thoroughly and pat dry. Now take some rose water on a cotton pad and apply it all over your face. Leave it on and let it dry. Once your face becomes a little drier then apply some moisturiser and let you skin breathe. This routine majorly works as cleansing, toning and moisturising is extremely essential for good skin.

Rose water, glycerin and lemon

Combine lemon juice, rose water and glycerin. Mix it all together and store it in your refrigerator. Take some of the mixture and apply it on your face and neck. Gently massage your skin and leave it on overnight. Try it on every night for great skin. Glycerin as we all know helps in keeping the skin hydrated, lemon juice adds the much needed Vitamin C boost and also has various bleaching properties.

Multani mitti and rose water

We all have been using multani mitti for our skin since ages. Take about 2 tablespoon of multani mitti, 1 tablespoon of milk and 1 tablespoon of rose water. Mix it all together and apply the thick mixture on your face and neck. Let it sit for 20 minutes and then wash it off with cool water. Follow this process at least once or twice a week to get the best results.

Sandalwood and rose water

Sandalwood helps in exfoliating the skin, nourishing and breathing life into it. Take about 1 tablespoon of sandalwood powder and mix it with ½ teaspoon of coconut oil, ½ teaspoon of almond oil and 1 tablespoon of rose water. Mix it all together and apply the paste on your face. Leave it on for about 20 minutes and wash it off with cool water.
