Combination is a type of skin that behaves oily in some parts and dry in others. This makes it difficult to chose products and apply them on the skin. The products made for dry skin end up causing the oily parts to turn more oily and vice-versa. After a point, it gets confusing to choose the right skincare products and especially in the winter season which takes a toll on the dry parts. Now, we know that this all may sound very difficult to understand, we are here with some skincare tips that you can use this winter.

Firstly, just wash your face and leave it bare for the next 30 minutes. This time is enough to understand what parts of your skin turn oily and what remains dry. Once you’ve done that, follow these simple tips.

Map your moisturiser

Now, that you’ve figured out the oily and dry parts of your skin, all you have to do is apply the water-based moisturiser on the oily parts and oil-based moisturiser on the dry parts. This will give enough nourishment to both. Always understand - perfect balance is the key.

Toner

Toner is very important to fill the open and dry pores during winters. Always remember to pick one that is rich in anti-oxidants and nourishes the skin at the same. However, make sure that it does not leave the skin looking oily and shiny.

Sheet Mask

Sheet masks are the best way to nourish the skin without affecting the different skin types on your face. Sheet maks are filled with serums that nourish the skin and hydrate it from within. This should be an important ritual in your winter skincare as there is very little the skin does to nourish itself.

Exfoliate

When you have combination skin, the drier areas of the face become flakey and start to peel. Now, these dead skin cells try and clog the pores of the oily areas of the skin and cause breakouts. So, it is important to exfoliate and get rid of all the dry and flakey at least once a week.

Have a good night time routine

When you are at home and the pollution and dust particles are not affecting your skin, you should give it maximum nourishment. Having a nighttime routine will hydrate the skin from within and revive all the life back into it.
