Do you remember those days when you were a kid and your mom would ensure that you drank 2 glasses of milk every day no matter what? Our mom's always looked for ways to get us to drink milk without any hassle. From almond milk to chocolate milk, our moms tried everything to get us to drink it regularly and sometimes it included stories and promises. Our mothers promised that we'd be fair like milk if we drank milk and even though that's not true, milk does help keep our skin healthy.

Milk makes for a great home remedy. It has numerous health and skin benefits. The lactose in the milk helps us in keeping our skin clear of any problems and also helps treat minor problems like sunburn and tanning. Milk is a great way to soothe your skin and help it heal. But it is essential that you use raw milk for your skin instead of boiled one. Raw milk contains more minerals which are helpful for the skin as compared to boiled milk which is safer for consumption. Milk can be used in numerous ways for skincare.

Here are some ways you can include raw milk in your skincare routine.

1. Milk works wonderfully as a toner. Mix some rose water and milk and use a cotton ball soaked with this mixture to cleanse your skin. Let it dry for a few minutes before you. You can use freshly squeezed lemon juice or else aloe vera water instead of rose water as well.

2. Make a mixture of oatmeal and milk. You can add some honey in this mixture if you want. This makes for a great exfoliating scrub for your skin and the milk keeps your skin feeling fresh and moisturised.

3. You can also make a moisturizing face mask with milk. Take some flour and add some turmeric in it. Use milk and make a smooth paste. Apply this all over your neck and face and let it dry. Wash it off with lukewarm water.

4. Take some multani mitti and mix it with some milk and rose water. Make a smooth paste and avoid lumps. Apply this on your face and let it sit till it dries. Rinse it with warm water.

5. Another way to use milk for clear skin is to mix it with some almond powder and besan. Make a smooth mixture and apply a thin layer on your skin. Let it dry before you wash it off.

6. Take some tomato pulp and mix it with some milk and rub it on your face gently. Let it stay for 5 to 10 minutes before you wash it off.
