Now, most of us don't really know much about corn or calluses. Corn or callus is a hardened layer of skin that is developed on top of your skin in order to protect it from friction and pressure. They usually develop on the palm or on the soles of your feet. Now, they're both very similar and most people cannot differentiate between the two. There's a very slight difference between these two things. Corn is usually a little painful while a callus is not.

These things are not a health hazard, but it does cause quite a bit of pain and discomfort and irritation. The best way is to treat the corn and calluses with either over-the-counter treatment or you can look for a better and natural solution by using home remedies to keep your feet moisturised and prevent and reduce corn and calluses.

Here are some home remedies that can help treat corn and calluses:

1. Castor Oil

Moisturise your feet with some castor oil. Apply castor oil on the corn at least three to four times a day and keep doing it till your skin goes back to being normal.

2. Lemon

Take a fresh lemon and cut out a lemon slice the size of the corn. Now, put it on the corn and seal it with a band-aid or poly wrap. Let it stay overnight. Use this remedy every night until the corn disappears.

3. Garlic

Take a piece of garlic cove and rub it all over the corn and let it rub off the juices over the skin. Then, take another piece or make a paste out of garlic and apply it on the corn and cover it with a band-aid or rather a bandage and leave it overnight.

4. Epsom Salt

Soak your feet in some warm water with Epsom salt for up to 20 minutes and let it soften your skin. Then take a pumice stone and rub the corn or callus and remove the dead skin from your feet. The skin on the corn or callus is dead and doing this will help clear it and soften your skin.

5. Liquorice

Make a paste of liquorice sticks and add some mustard oil to it. Make it smooth and apply it on the corn and calluses before you go to bed and rinse it in the morning for the best results. Use this remedy every day until the corn or calluses disappear.

6. Turmeric

This natural antiseptic and antimicrobial kitchen product can do wonders for your skin but it also has healing powers and it will help treat corn and calluses. Mix some turmeric powder with honey or milk and make a smooth paste and apply this on the area affected by corn and calluses. Let it dry before you rinse it out.
