Summers are one of the most dreaded season in the year, especially for those who reside in tropical countries. The oiliness and sweat is ever-increasing and there is dryness at the same time. Skin, hair and everything else becomes quite a task to manage in this sweltering season. A good way to beat all the heat and issues that come with the season, is to use some homemade mixes that are sure to soothe the skin and eradicate all problems that come with summer. 

Cucumber face pack

One of the most cooling substances available in every kitchen, the cucumber is sure to not only cool your skin but also hydrate it and leave it feeling fresh. 

Ingredients:

Half a cucumber

Honey

Milk cream

Method:

In a bowl, grate half a cucumber and mix it with honey and milk cream. 

Apply it to your face and let it dry. 

After 20 minutes, wash it off. 

 

Rose water pack

This pack helps in combating the dryness and leave a cooling effect on the skin. It also controls the oiliness and makes for perfect protection against the sun. 

Ingredients:

A few drops of honey

1 spoon yogurt

1 spoon rose water

Method:

Mix all the ingredients together and apply it evenly all over your face and neck. 

Let it be on your face for around 20 minutes and then wash off. 

 

Fruit face pack

This face pack is known for controlling the amount of oil secreted by the skin and also smoothening out the dry patches on the skin. 

Ingredients:

5-6 pieces of cut up papaya

1 small banana

Half spoon honey

Method:

Mash the papaya and banana well enough so there are no lumps in it

Add the honey to the paste and mix well

Apply it on your face and wait till it dries

Once it has dried, wash it off with water

 

Almond face pack

Not only does this pack help scrub off excess oil and exfoliate the skin, but also paves way to new skin to grow after getting rid of dead cells. 

Ingredients:

10 almonds

1 spoon oats

1 spoon honey

1 spoon yogurt

Method:

Soak the almonds overnight so they absorb water

The next morning, grind the almonds and all the ingredients into a thick paste

Apply the paste smoothly all over your face and neck

Wash off once it dries
