Start by using a gentle face wash. You do not want to indulge in heavy formulas at an early age. The idea is to get rid of dirt, grime and excess oil without ruining your skin. If you tend to have oily skin in your late teen years, make sure to use a cleanser that balances your pH levels to keep acne at bay.
Toning is an important step that you cannot miss. It helps in hydrating and tightening the pores so making it a habit from an early age will only benefit you later. Make sure to use products that do not contain fragrances and loads of alcohol. Instead, opt for a natural product like rose water.
No matter what the skin type, moisturising your skin is necessary. It helps in keeping the skin soft and supple while also protecting it from environmental stressors.
Sunscreen is the most important step in any skincare routine. It creates a barrier between in the skin and the harmful UV rays. It is also proven that people who use sunscreen tend to age slowly and do not show signs of ageing as opposed to the people who don’t.
All you need is a teaspoon of besan aka gram flour, cold milk/yoghurt and a vitamin E capsule. Mix it all in a bowl and apply it evenly to your face and neck. Leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse with cold water. Use it once in 2 weeks and you’ll have fresh, glowing skin.
