Most people spend loads of money these days to buy organic soaps and body washes to stay safe and keep their skin away from chemical-based products. But instead of spending so much on buying organic products we can simply replace our soaps or body washes with home remedies that can be used as a body wash. These body masks can keep your skin supple and healthy and protect it from harmful chemicals. Healthy skin requires a healthy skincare routine that can be achieved by using home remedies to replace your bathing soap or body wash instead of using an organic soap or body wash. These body masks or ubtans contain simple kitchen ingredients that work wonders for your skin. These ubtans are a pure form of cosmetic products that pamper your skin and keeps it healthy. Traditionally, these ubtans were used by brides before her wedding day, but you can use these to obtain healthy skin without a wedding.

Here are some DIY ubtan recipes.

Apply a thin layer of this paste on your skin and massage it slowly for a few minutes. Let it stay on your face and body for up to 10 minutes before you wash it off with water.

2. You can take some chickpea flour also known as besan; it can be easily found in any local grocery store, and mix it with some plain curd. Make a smooth paste and gently rub it all over your body for an up to 5 minutes before you wash it off.

3. Grind some red lentil commonly known as masoor dal and make a fine powder. Mix it with some curd and aloe vera water. Make a smooth paste without any lumps and apply it all over your body and leave it in for up to 10 minutes before you wash it off.

4. Take some mint leaves and rice. Grind the rice and mint leaves and make a smooth paste. You can grind it together or separately as per your comfort, but ensure that you get a smooth paste. Add a few drops of freshly squeezed lemon juice and mix it well. Apply this paste all over your body and rub it gently for up to 5 minutes before you wash it off with water.

5. Take some turmeric powder and mix it with some tomato pulp or rather use a smooth tomato puree. Grind some rice into a fine powder and take some curd and add it to this mixture and make a smooth paste. Add a few drops of freshly squeezed lemon juice and some rose water to it. Apply this paste all over your body and massage it gently for up to 10 minutes and rinse it with water.

6. Take some wheat flour and mix it with honey and freshly squeezed lemon juice. You can also add some fresh aloe vera gel if you want and make a smooth paste and rub it all over your body. Rinse it off with water.
