1. Sandalwood

It is a little on the expensive side today because sandalwood takes a very long time to grow and flourish. It is very good for the skin as it has nourishing and antiseptic properties. It also has anti-aging properties. Grind some almond and make a fine powder and mix it with sandalwood, add some milk to this mixture and make a smooth paste. Apply this on your face and neck and let it dry completely before you wash it off.

2. Saffron

Saffron is a tad bit too expensive, but the Queens were obsessed with long-lasting beauty and saffron is known to lighten your complexion and make you beautiful. It helps clear your skin as well. Soak some saffron in fresh cream or milk for up to an hour. Mix some sandalwood in it and some rose water. Now, apply this on your face and let it dry before you rinse it.

3. Amla

Queens always focused on having dark black hair. Amla is known to help keep our hair black and silky. They used amla and shikakai for washing their hair and applying on their scalp in order to have luscious black hair. Put some amla and shikakai in water and boil it. Let it cool and use this water to rinse your hair. You can also make a paste from fresh amla and shikakai and put it on your hair and scalp and leave it in for 30 minutes before you wash your hair.

4. Multani Mitti

Multani mitti is a type of clay-like mud that can work magic on your skin. It has a lot of skin benefits. Queens used multani mitti to keep their skin clean and beautiful. Make a paste from multani mitti and turmeric powder and sandalwood. Add some yogurt and lemon juice to it. Apply this on your face and let it dry for a while. Once it dries just wash it off.

5. Besan

Besan is also known as gram flour and is easily found in any grocery store and you can simply dig in your mom's kitchen for this beauty ingredient for clear and healthy skin. Mix some turmeric powder with almond powder and some besan. Add some milk to this mixture and make a smooth paste. Apply this on your face and neck and let it dry before you rinse it
