This time, she swapped the high-octane structure for a flowy silhouette, giving pure romance as she stepped out for a gala looking like a fairy Godmother in a Sophie Couture piece.

Move away because Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is serving what her fans have been yearning for years. At the 79th Cannes Film Festival, the Indian diva redeemed all the fashion faux pas that had happened in the past years. Her second look seems like an ode to her elegant personality.
For a special gala hosted at Cannes 2026, ARB slipped into a creation by Sophie Couture, serving ethereal elegance. If reports are to be believed, her gown is valued at a staggering Rs 3.54 lakhs. Styled again by Mohit Rai, the dress allowed her grace to take centre stage.
Her outfit featured a strapless bodice with a fitted corseted silhouette attached to a flowy skirt with pleating that created fluid movement. The upper half of her gown featured 3D floral appliques that were embellished with thousands of Swarovski crystals. The eye-popping piece in her attire was the dreamy, sweeping chiffon cape attached at the shoulders.
To balance the dreamy pastel color, her hair was styled in her signature side-parted open waves, and she opted for fresh, minimal makeup base with a hint of eyeliner, heavily blushed cheeks, while sticking to bright, glossy lips. She accessorized the look with diamond danglers and statement rings.
This time, Aish’s forever travel partner, her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan, also joined her at the star-studded gala, marking her debut. Matching her attire to her mom’s, the teenager painted the town red in her floor-length ruby red satin gown, with almost the same aesthetic as her mother’s. Her attire also came with a glittery, dramatic cape. However, saying adieu to her signature bangs, the girl let her hair down in chic, side-parted waves.
