Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has finally served her first red carpet look from the ongoing 79th Cannes Film Festival. The undisputed queen of Cannes has arrived, and she completely owned it. The diva stunned in a midnight blue sculpted gown by celebrity designer Amit Aggarwal, and we must say, she looked like a dream!
Aishwarya Rai serves drama at Cannes 2026 red carpet
After days of speculations around Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Cannes 2026 appearance, the diva has finally marked her presence at the coveted film festival. The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actress decided to represent an Indian designer at the steps of the coveted event. Hence, she opted for a custom-sculpted midnight blue gown by Amit Aggarwal.
Styled by celebrity stylist Mohit Rai, Aishwarya's look is an absolute masterclass in couture innovation. Wearing a custom creation called ‘Luminara’, the masterpiece is centered around the concept of light in motion, giving it a high-fashion, futuristic edge.
The gown features a sharply fitted bodice with a plunging neckline, hugging her body flawlessly before flaring out into a structured mermaid-style fishtail bottom. According to The Times of India, it features the designer’s signature ‘Crystal Vein' embroidery technique.
It apparently took more than 1,500 hours of meticulous handwork to place thousands of crystal embellishments individually. To complete the ultra-glam look, a long, flowing matching train was wrapped around her arms.
Aishwarya kept her beauty game effortlessly classic and let her dramatic and futuristic gown do the talking. She went heavy on the lashes with a broad black eyeliner. Wearing a good amount of blush, she opted for a pink, glossy lip and styled her hair in side-parted open waves.
With her diamond and sapphire embellished neckpiece, a pair of matching dainty earrings, and a couple of sparkly finger rings, she completed her royal look.
The French Riviera and ARB’s fans were missing her at the event, which has already been graced by Alia Bhatt, Aditi Rao Hydari, Mouni Roy, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and other Indian celebs. As customary, she is accompanied by her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan at the international event.
