After much waiting, she finally walked the red carpet at the opening ceremony and proved why she is a fashion force. Alia Bhatt stuns in a Tamara Ralph peach haute couture at Cannes
Alia Bhatt has officially arrived at the 79th Cannes Film Festival red carpet, and it was worth every second of the wait. Stepping out in a breathtaking peach couture gown, the National Award-winning actress marked her presence. After teasing fans with two distinctly different looks, she saved the high-octane glamour for her the iconic red carpet look.
Styled by Rhea Kapoor, Alia opted for a custom Tamara Ralph silk crêpe corseted column dress. While the structured neckline and plunging cutout of the gown impressed the fashion police, it was the addition of a chiffon drape that stole the show. Desis were immediately reminded of the iconic dupattas that ruled Bollywood songs, back in the 90s. The strapless gown featured a sculpted, body-hugging corset bodice.
As for her stunning jewellery, the Alpha actress wore a necklace that features around 168.27 carats of rare pink coral with a 5.53 carat diamond at its centre. She paired it with square-cut diamond earrings from Chopard.
Keeping the aesthetic cohesive, her makeup gave soft glam with luminous skin, peach-pink tones, subtle shimmer on the lids, and a glossy lip. Her hair was left down in soft, middle-parted curls with fresh curtain bangs.
