Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone to Ananya Panday: Celebrity approved ways to wear flared jeans in style
Call them what you want - flared, boot-cut, bell-bottoms, they're all from the same family anyway! The jeans that fit well on top and open up at the bottom, are coming back in style. Here's how celebrities have been styling their favourite pair.
Fashion is always making a comeback. No matter how many years it takes, outfits, accessories and even makeup always finds its way back, often with a new name. A trend that was big back in the late '90s and early 2000s was the bell-bottom jeans trend that every kid has a cringe-worthy photo in. Little did we realise that we'd be scouting for those exact pants a decade later! The trend is back and Bollywood's leading ladies have subtly been sporting it in different shades and on different occasions. Here's all the inspiration you need.
A few years ago when Alia stepped out to attend a friend's birthday party keeping it casual, we thought she was a tad bit under-dressed. Today, she looks just perfect. With a half-tucked Paramount Gucci tee styled with a pair of faded flared jeans, mirror sunnies and nude stilettos, this look is all things chic today!
Giving us inspiration on how to dress for retro night, Ananya paired an off-shoulder black top with a pair of high-waisted boot-cut jeans with a large flare. While it may take some time for us to get used to the idea of wearing non-skinny or baggy pants, we think this look would've been better had the material not been so stiff and flowed a little.
Showing us her slender frame, Janhvi rocked two trends in one - patchwork and bootcut! The Dhadak actress picked out a pair of high-waisted boot-cut flared jeans that hugged her till the knees and flared up from below them. Paired with a simple white cropped tee and Chanel sling bag, her look spelt chic.
Showing us how to pull off flared pants to make for a boho look, Shraddha Kapoor sported her fit-and-flare style pants with a simple tank top and threw on a floor-length shrug by Saaksha and Kinni. Stacked up necklaces and gold hoop earrings completed her simple look.
Taking the trend a notch higher was diva Deepika Padukone who picked out a well-fitted pair of flared pants in a grey shade to wear to the airport. She opted for a head-to-toe monochrome look with a ribbed turtleneck sweater in a shade that matched her pants. We thought DP did full justice to the look by styling it with brown pumps, a matching bag and oversized sunnies.
Not just jeans, Kriti Sanon showed us how to rock formal pants in the trend as well! The actress picked out a pair of black high-waisted pants with a bustier-style spaghetti-strap crop top. It hugged her lean frame and showed off her sculpted figure well.
