Breakups are difficult and they tend to shock people around them. This breakup, however, came as a cold shock to everyone and no it is not a couple. We recently told you how Raf Simons left Calvin Klein effective immediately. It hasn't even been a month yet and Calvin Klein’s already looking for their next creative director.

Steve Shiffman the executive chief officer of the brand in a statement released on Thursday said that they will be shutting down their Manhattan store. The 654 Madison Avenue Flagship store was renovated by Simons in 2017. Shiffman also added that the brand will be re-launching 2015W39NYC ready-to-wear line under a different name and new creative director. He also stated, “designed to evolve the traditional luxury fashion model by connecting with a diverse range of communities, offering an unexpected mix of influences and moving at an accelerated pace.”

Rumours were rife that Calvin Klein would not be hiring another creative head, instead look for a collaborative partnership. It is also being said that Raf’s longtime collaborators have also excited the business.

According to Steve Shiffman, there are going to be considerable changes. For starters, they are going to merge the men’s sportswear and jeans business and will then also integrate the retail and e-commerce teams. He said, “Our industry is witnessing a historic transformation in consumer behaviour which presents a significant growth opportunity as we look to grow the brand to $12 billion in global retail sales over the next few years.”
