The International Cannes Film Festival which happens every year is the perfect global platform for A-listers from film industries worldwide, to showcase their talent on the big screen, as well as their fashion choices. The red carpet sees multiple variations of clothing from large ballroom gowns to slinky dresses and even pantsuits, which leave a mark on the fashion industry worldwide. Like every year, this year too the red carpet is seeing some spectacular choices. Everybody from Bollywood’ very own Sonam Kapoor, to models like Adriana Lima and well renowned actresses like Margot Robbie and Nina Dobrev attended the film festival yesterday. Here are the best and worst dressed of the lot.

Sonam Kapoor

The Veere Di Wedding actress is no newbie to the film festival. She has been on the international platform multiple times and has been applauded for her phenomenal fashion choices. This year too, Kapoor did not disappoint. She sported a custom made pantsuit by her favourite designer Ralph and Russo, which made for the perfect feminine way to make a power statement. We love how she styled her look with a simple bun, classic winged liner and nude lips. She definitely was one of the best dressed of the day.

Adriana Lima

The Victoria’s Secret model also picked a powerful outfit for the festival. A chic white pantsuit over a basic black tank top, made the model look like she meant business. Deep red lips and pulled back hair gave her a powerful look that we love.

Dakota Fanning

The American actress looked radiant on the red carpet in a pink ballroom noodlestrap gown by Armani Prive. A yellow sash tied around her waist into a bow, showed off her slim waistline. She picked an eye catching neckpiece, matching earrings and a pretty watch to complete her look. We are fawning over this simple yet elegant look!

Elle Fanning

The youngest jury member of the film festival knew how to make a mark on the carpet. She oozed old school Hollywood glamour in a look by Dior. Her silk orgnza blouse, a line black tulle pleated skirt and white brimmed hat made for a different but oh-so-elegant piece for the red carpet!

Margot Robbie

The actress who plays Harely Quinn was a total let down on the red carpet at the International Film Festival. We are all for pants on the red carpet but with a tunic, not so much (even though it is Chanel)! We thought the outfit didn’t do justice to the actress at all, the lose pants were unflattering and the tunic looked too middle-school for the actress.

Nina Dobrev

The Vampire Diaries actress looked stunning at the Chopard party in a sequinned black ballroom gown with a thigh-high slit in the centre, by Dior. Her hair was gelled back to show off her clean makeup that went well with her look.

Sara Sampaio

The Victoria’s Secret angel graced the red carpet in what we thought was a stunning yellow ballroom gown ballroom gown in a gorgeous yellow shade by Georges Hobeika Couture and jewellery by Boucheron. We love the ruffled material of the gown and thought despite being light, the colour quite suited her.
