Are you still recovering from all the extravagant and sparkly outfits from the MET Gala? Well, buckle up because the most glamorous gathering of the year is about to start.

The Cannes Film Festival sees the most amount of glam and glitz with celebrities coming in from all over the world. Set to take place at the fabulous French Riviera, the festival is held annually with who’s who of the industry donning the red carpet. Stunning, elegant and glamorous couture pieces backed with flawless beauty looks set the tone right for one of the biggest film festivals of the year.

With being said that, this year’s red carpet will again see celebrities like Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai, Sonam Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut in their most glamorous avatars. Adding to that list Huma Qureshi and Hina Khan will also walk the red carpet this year. Now, let us take a look back at the best looks from the Cannes Film Festival.

Deepika Padukone - Ashi Studio

Deepika Padukone - Cannes 2018

This is by far our favourite look of Deepika's. Ms Padukone had worn this stunning gown by Ashi studio at the Cannes 2018 red carpet. By adding the perfect amount of drama, Deepika made sure that she stole the show in the bright hot pink gown. Layered with pleated frills and dramatic shoulders, Deepika made quite a fashion statement last year. So much so that just a few days later, Beyonce was also seen wearing the same gown. Now that’s what we call a stunning red carpet appearance!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan - Michael Cinco Couture

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan - Cannes 2017

Aishwarya Rai has her perfect Cinderella moment at the 2017 Cannes red carpet. She wowed everyone with her icy blue Michael Cinco gown. The icy blue off-the-shoulder dress was covered with beads and embroidered silver leaves and boasted a ball-worthy voluminous skirt. The actress wore her pin-straight hair down and accessorized minimally with a few silver rings, letting the dress speak for itself. I mean, just look at that princess-worthy moment!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan - Roberto Cavalli

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, being the OG that she is, served this stunning look back in 2014. She stole the red carpet in this glamorous couture gown by Roberto Cavalli. Exuding glamour and elegance, she looked drop dead gorgeous in the strapless gown that featured a mermaid silhouette. The gown fit her like a glove that perfectly accentuated her gorgeous curves. To top that off, her loose curls and flawless makeup made the entire look a guaranteed hit. Now that is a 10/10 look!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan - Rami Kadi Couture

The 45-year-old actress has proved to be the queen of rocking the Cannes red carpet. For one of her red carpet appearances in 2018, Aishwarya chose a sparkly Rami Kadi couture. The actress wore the heavily embellished gown with a structured corset. Though she played it safe with the gown, she experimented with her hairstyle in this avant-garde hairdo.

Sonam Kapoor - Ralph & Russo

After being married for only a week, Sonam Kapoor graced the red carpet in a custom made lehenga by Ralph & Russo. The new bride looked every bit of gorgeous with henna clad hands along with the Indian attire. The full-bodied off-white skirt was paired with an asymmetrical sleeved blouse. The actress wore a pair of Chopard diamond studs and braided her hair using a traditional parandi. What can be a better way to represent Indian fashion internationally?

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan - Michael Cinco

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan yet again proved to be the original red carpet diva. For the Cannes 2018 red carpet, Aishwarya picked a dramatic butterfly-inspired Michael Cinco dress in shades of purple, red and blue. She literally stole the red carpet with her 10-foot long train.

Kangana Ranaut - Nedret Taciroglu

Kangana being her dramatic self chose to wear a heavily sequined catsuit by Nedret Taciroglu on the Cannes 2018 red carpet. The actor made her edgy outfit look more dramatic with wild curls and loud eyes. It is safe to say that with a catsuit as a debut, we can expect a lot more drama from Kangana this year!

Deepika Padukone - Zuhair Murad

For one of her looks last year, Deepika played safe with this white embellished gown by Zuhair Murad. The glamorous gown featured a shouldered cape that gracefully brushed the red carpet. Deepika opted for soft Hollywood style curls and soft smokey eyes, making it a glamorous and elegant look altogether.

We absolutely love all of these past looks and cannot wait to see what these celebrities have in store for us. Who do you think will be the best-dressed celebrity this year? Let us know in the comments section below.

Kangnaa is superb always

It took her 15 years, free appearances, and paid previews to look " confident". Elegant she isn't

Loved Aishwarya. Liked Deepika. ...That is all. ;)

For me Deepika and Aishwarya.
Then Kangana
Then Sonam.

aish is the undoubted queen of cannes, deepika is doing a great job tho and this year will only be her third. only indian media is hyping kangana.. and why is beyond me. she was forgettable n that red carpet and no one cared

kangana’s going the same reason the others go, for publicity. she wants to be in the big leagues though i dare day huma quereshi has more global exposure than she does and they rep the same liquor brand

Kangana gonna whoop their asses

Kangana is the real fashionista not sonam.Aish team had done a great job and deepika needs to change her stylists.
