It was a big day for Deepika Padukone yesterday as the 'Padmavat' actress hit two major milestones of her career yesterday. She was immortalized in wax at the prestigious Madame Tussaud's museum in London. Her entire family, including her parents, Ranveer Singh and his parents were in attendance to mark their presence at this big event. Also, Deepika graced the cover of American Vogue for their global issue, where she was part of the cover with other International actresses. Every actress wants to be on the cover of American Vogue, so we can only imagine Deepika's excitement on getting this opportunity.

For the unveiling of her Madame Tussaud's wax statue, she wore an all ivory look by Alberta Ferretti. Her look was from Alberta Ferretti's Limited Edition Fall 2018 couture collection. She mixed two runway looks to make her own, where she teamed her ivory silk, satin blazer with a pair of wide legged pants. The look was layered with a matching cape and she styled her look with a pair of diamond earrings from Lorraine Schwartz and hair worn in a low bun.

I really want to like this look on her, but I'm just not sold on the styling. I happened to see the close up of her look on Instagram first and I was like oh nice, wonder what she's gonna change into later for the main event. And I was surprised that this was THE LOOK. To me, it looked like that robe she was chilling in her room in while she gets her hair and make up done.

Coming to the statue, she wears a custom made Sabyasachi look that Deepika wore a few years ago at the IIFA Awards.

Your thoughts on the look?

The style's good and she's looking very beautiful.having said that, she never has the effortlessness of say a Neha Dhupia or the happy-in-her-skin of a Kajol.DP's always trying to make a good impression and seems a bit too caught up in that and the model type of posing

She would have come.ffom shooting where she played the role of a church's father

Its her face that’s beyond gorgeous whatever she wears

Although the statue has a weird tilt angle, its looks better dressed than the real person....white dress looks like a oversized robe she is clutching, as if uncomfortable with neckline
