The wedding season is here and it has brought the scorching summer heat along. As difficult as it is to dress up for a wedding, it just gets multiplied when it is accompanied by rising temperatures. While Indian wedding attire is incomplete without plenty of jewellery and embroidered outfits, it is extremely challenging to carry all that jazz for a hot summer wedding.

So, we took style cues from our favourite Bollywood divas on how to rock ethnic attire on a hot summer day.

Alia Bhatt

This flowy jumpsuit by Sabyasachi is a great alternative to heavily embellished lehengas. The long dangling earrings perfectly accessorise the ensemble making it a great outfit for a summer wedding in the scorching heat.

Deepika Padukone

The Padmaavat actress sets the tone right for a hot summer day in this stunning white drape. This white saree can be a go-to for all the summer days, given that you can accessorise it with almost anything.

Katrina Kaif

The Zero actress is trendy yet comfortable in this stunning creation by Anamika Khanna. It’s airy, simple and colourful which makes it a perfect pick for a hot sunny day. I mean, who wouldn’t want to wear sneakers to a wedding?

Alia Bhatt

The Raazi actress surely knows how to dress up right. She wears this stunning printed saree by Sabyasachi. It is simple, airy and ethnic. The one-shouldered blouse makes it a trendy day-wedding ensemble.

Janhvi Kapoor

The Dhadak debutante makes this simple saree look effortless yet traditional by pairing it with ethnic jewellery. The braided hairdo and halter-neck blouse is a hack to follow when you want to look effortless and stylish at the same time.

Kriti Sanon

Kriti pulls out a trick from her bag by wearing this pre-stiched saree by Monisha Jaising. The new age saree is comfortable yet stylish. I mean, who knew sarees could be this comfortable?

Alia Bhatt

Strappy kurtas and flowy palazzo are airy and easy to wear. With just the right amount of accessories and makeup, you are good to go.

Tara Sutaria

Bright colours and embroidered capes are perfect for a hot summer wedding. Corset tops and wide-legged palazzos create a stunning look for a day wedding. The embroidered cape adds the right amount of embellishment to the outfit.
